BAY AREA ONE HEALTH COALITION

One Future. One Life, One Health

OUR GOAL

We’re committed to improving the well-being of vulnerable communities by using technology and innovative, culturally responsive programs that link individuals to substance recovery, health wrap-around services, mental wellness support, access to housing and sustainable economic opportunities.

OUR VISION

We envision a world where communities thrive with equitable access to resources that develop all dimensions of wellness, where people, animals, and the environment coexist harmoniously, and the healing power of the human-animal bond is fully recognized.

A New Model for Community Wellness

The Bay Area One Health Coalition is dedicated to building healthy, resilient communities through interdisciplinary, collaborative development and oversight of transformative programs like Project Pets’ Release a Leash.

This innovative initiative harnesses the power of Animal-Assisted Therapy (AAT) to promote emotional resilience, improve access to care, and break down barriers related to substance use, reentry services, housing, and healthcare.

By combining technology with culturally relevant psychosocial support, holistic health solutions and increased economic opportunity, we create sustainable pathways to wellness for vulnerable populations across Bay Area neighborhoods, ensuring that people, animals, and communities thrive together.
